St. Francis De Sales School was founded by the Missionaries of St. Francis De Sales, who have been working in India since 1845. As a Catholic institution, we work not only for the intellectual, cultural and physical development of our children from the earliest stages, but also for the formation of character - instilling sound moral principles so they grow into good citizens of our country.

A warm welcome to our school family
"The actual weight of the glass doesn't always matter - how long you hold it is what matters."
I am indeed overjoyed to accord a warm welcome to each of you - my dear staff, students and parents - to St. Francis De Sales School, Gangapur City, this august temple of learning.
As we enter into yet another year of learning, my heart is overwhelmed with gratitude to all of you for your support and co-operation in assisting your children to explore themselves with new ideas and innovations.
As we march into a new academic year, I am reminded of a story that keeps our confidence and motivation high. A psychology professor once entered a classroom with half a glass of water and asked not "was it half empty or half full?" but "how heavy is this glass of water?" Answers ranged from 7 oz to 25 oz - but the actual weight never mattered as much as how long you hold the glass. Hold it for a minute, you feel little. Hold it all day, and your hands go numb.
Stress works the same way. Think about it for a while and set it down, and there's no problem. Carry it for hours - sleep with it - and it becomes one. If we can do something about it, we should simply do it; otherwise, we should let it go and work toward our goals.
Knowing the duty of both teachers and students, we at SFS aim to impart an all-round, balanced education - building self-confidence, the importance of hard work, and persuasive ability, with special emphasis on moral and character formation alongside each student's own development.
May the education you receive from this great institution help you overcome every hurdle you encounter, and reach the zenith of greatness in whatever sphere you move in.
